Intersect ENT Inc. (“Intersect ENT”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) respects your privacy, including the protection of your Personal Information (as defined below), and is committed to earning your trust and confidence. This Privacy Policy is provided to inform you of the information we collect from you when you visit our site located at www.intersectent.com (the “Site”) and how we use and disclose this information. It is also to inform you on the choices you have regarding our use of and your ability to review and correct your information.

 The Site collects only the Personal Information that you choose to provide, and Intersect ENT uses Personal Information only for its legitimate business purposes. Intersect ENT will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute your Personal Information to third parties without your prior written consent. By “Personal Information” we mean any information by which you can be identified, such as your name, address, or email address.

By providing us with your email address or otherwise submitting Personal Information through our Site, you agree that this constitutes your written consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

In general, you can visit many of our Site pages without telling us who you are or revealing any Personal Information. Intersect ENT does not assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, products, services and content of linked web sites. How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the information that is automatically received from your Web browser to see which pages you visit within our Site. Such information is used to develop statistics that are helpful to understanding how this Site is used by our visitors. This statistical data is interpreted by Intersect ENT in its continuing efforts to present the Site content that visitors are seeking in a format they find most helpful.

When Intersect ENT receives Personal Information, we may use it for legitimate business purposes, such as contacting you via phone or e-mail to confirm appointments or registration. If you e-mail us, you are voluntarily releasing information to us. Your e-mail address will be used by Intersect ENT to respond to you.

If another company acquires our company, business, or assets, that company will possess the Personal Information collected by us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Cookies

To enable Intersect ENT to provide customized and personalized services, we may use cookies to store and sometimes track information about you. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer. Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us any Personal Information about you. However, if you choose to furnish the Site with Personal Information (such as your e-mail address), that information could be linked to the data stored in the cookie. Intersect ENT reserves the right to change our use of cookies and our practices regarding linkage to Personal Information without any prior notification.

Email Communications

We will periodically send you free newsletters and e-mails that directly promote the use of our Site.  When you receive these communications from us, you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive or by contacting us directly (please see contact information below).  Despite your indicated e-mail preferences, we may send you service related communications, including notices of any updates to our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy.

Children

In order to respect the privacy of children online, we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or process Personal Information submitted by children under the age of 13. Users Outside of the United States.

If you are a non U.S. user of the Site, by visiting the Site and providing us with information, you acknowledge and agree that your Personal Information may be processed for the purposes identified in the Privacy Policy.  By providing your information, you consent to such transfer. 

Information Security

We take reasonable precautions to ensure that any Personal Information you provide on this Site is kept confidential and stored in a secure environment, and that only those Intersect ENT employees or contractors with legitimate business purposes will have access to this information. Even so, we cannot guarantee that data provided to us will not be subject to loss, alteration, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. It is important to be aware that all Internet transmissions are subject to security breaches and errors. You should take precautions in choosing the information you send to Intersect ENT via email and safeguard any passwords or special types of identification you use to access this Site.

Advertising

Intersect ENT directly funds the operation and hosting of www.MySinusitis.com and it does not currently accept or display advertising.

Do Not Track Signals

We do not currently respond to “do not track” signals from web browsers.
